Preparation of 100 thousand tons of dates to welcome the holy month of Ramadan
According to the Mehr news agency, quoted by Sedav and Sima, Mohammad Mahdi Broumandi, deputy director of horticulture affairs of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, said about the consumption of dates during the holy month of Ramadan, which is one of the essential needs of the country in this month: According to the agreements made between the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture, the National Date Association, Gardeners' Union, Organization of Fruit and Vegetable Fields and Tehran Municipality supply dates in Ramadan at reasonable prices. He added: Dates required for the holy month of Ramadan have been provided and we have no shortage in this regard. Bromandi stated: Every year, around 100,000 tons of dates are prepared all over the country for the holy month of Ramadan, and about 15,000 tons are planned for Tehran, which is the same amount planned for this year.
